Privacy Policy for Decidient

Sharing and service providers
We may use third-party providers for hosting, payments, analytics, database operations, and AI-generated report delivery.
Those providers currently include infrastructure and software used to run this site, such as Hetzner, Cloudflare, Stripe, and the language-model services used to generate reports.
We do not sell personal data.
Retention, access, and deletion
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, and support the site.
To request deletion or make a privacy inquiry, contact [email protected].
Applicable privacy law
We handle personal information in line with the privacy laws that apply to our operations and to the market in which the relevant site is offered.
Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies or similar tools to keep the site working and to understand broad usage patterns.
Privacy officer
Our privacy officer is Rick Escher. Write to [email protected] with any privacy question, to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted.
Profiling, and your choice to start
The decision check builds a profile of your preferences from your answers, which Quebec's privacy law calls profiling. It runs only when you start it. The results are suggestions for you to weigh, not a decision about you. If you want to know how a suggestion was reached, or think it's wrong, write to [email protected].
Where your answers go
Some of your answers may be sent to AI model providers in the United States to write parts of your results and report. Nothing about you is sent to providers in China: our software checks each of these calls before it goes out. We keep a written privacy impact assessment of that transfer, and we'll tell you which providers we use if you ask.
Children under 14
We ask your age before the decision check starts. If you're under 14, we ask for a parent's or guardian's email and collect no answers until they agree. We delete an unanswered request after 7 days, and a parent's email as soon as they say no.
How long we keep things
We delete the IP address recorded with a visit or a decision check after 30 days. We keep your answers and results so you can come back to your report; write to [email protected] and we'll delete them sooner.
Emails
We send the emails you ask for, such as a verification code or your report. We send a follow-up only if you tick the box that asks for one, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How we are paid
We're paid by the people who buy a report. No school, residence or other option we compare pays us, and we don't earn commissions from links on this site.
AI-written content
Much of each guide was researched and written by AI from cited sources, and our pages and PDFs carry a machine-readable label that says so. If you find a mistake, tell us at [email protected] and we'll fix it.
