Decidient

Decision support for everyday decisions.

Decidient builds AI decision-support tools from a one-paragraph description. Each tool researches authoritative sources, checks every fact against its source, and gives a clear recommendation with the reasons behind it.

How it works

From one paragraph to better-informed decisions.

  1. DescribeYou describe the decision in a paragraph: who decides, the choices, what matters.
  2. DesignDecidient designs the steps to build the tool and tests them on real examples.
  3. ResearchIt finds authoritative sources and checks every fact against the page it came from.
  4. BuildIt builds the tool: the questions, the ranking and the report.
  5. DecideEach person gives their details, answers a few questions, and gets the decision support they need.
For example

"Help smallholder farmers in the developing world choose which crops to grow."

From that sentence, Decidient researches authoritative sources, checks the facts, and builds a tool with a short questionnaire, a ranked recommendation and a personal report. The same design then makes hundreds or thousands of local versions, one for each farming region, each in the local language.

How it works in detail →

Why it can be trusted

Answers you can check.

Every fact has a source

Each fact is kept with the page it came from, the exact words and the date. Code checks that the words are really there. If a source says nothing, the fact is marked unknown, never guessed.

The same answers give the same result

The ranking is worked out by ordinary software from the person's own answers. Ask twice, get the same recommendation, with the same reasons.

A signed record of every recommendation

Each recommendation comes with a record of how it was made: the sources, the rules and the steps. The record is signed, so anyone can check that it has not been changed.

How we keep AI decisions accountable →

Beyond a chatbot

Why an AI answer is not enough for a decision.

Most AI tools find some documents and write an answer. That works for a question. A decision needs more: the facts must be right, what is unknown must be said, and the result must not change from one try to the next. Decidient is built for that.

For organisations

Built to run at scale, under your rules.

Your policies, enforced

Your organisation sets which sources may be used, which AI models, what each step may spend and who approves. Every step is checked against those rules.

Many tools, many people, at once

One design can serve thousands of people and hundreds of local versions. Each organisation sees only its own data.

Every action recorded

Who did what, when, and why is kept for every step, by people and by software.

Personal information protected

Personal information is sent only to AI models hosted in Canada or the United States, and only when the work needs it.

Decision guide

How decision support works.

Eleven short articles on how Decidient tools work and what you get from one.

Your decision

How the decision works: map the choices, rules and timing.
What matters to you: turn preferences into clear priorities.
Rules, constraints and trade-offs: separate must-haves from things you can trade.

Our approach

Compare the options: see every option side by side, on the same scale.
Test the assumptions: see what happens when your priorities shift.
Stress-test the result: check whether your top option really holds up.
Methods and sources: the science under the hood.

Your decision kit

Your best matches: see the full shortlist, not just one name.
Why they rank: see exactly what is driving your result.
What could change the answer: know what would move a different option to the top.
Be ready to decide: everything you need to make the final call.

Lessons from legal evidence review

Lawyers have long tested how much a document review missed. We apply the same checks to the facts our tools rely on.

When sources disagree

Two forecasts can both be reasonable. We show both, and we stop only when the disagreement would change the top recommendation.
